Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Part time or Full time. Certification or prior experience is preferred. Full Time Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid vacation, sick and holidays, education and uniform allowance.
This position performs patient workups and testing such as visual field, patient history and technical workups. Accurately performs: visual acuity testing, pupil exam, amsler grid, auto lensometry, auto keratometry, refractions, muscle testing, visual field confrontations, tonometry. Position will assists doctor in patient care, including scribing and special testing as assigned. Expected to maintain and clean all equipment being used. Hours as assigned by supervisor, office hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm and most Saturdays. Job does requires Saturday rotation.
