UW Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for an Administrator, UW Medicine Center for Women and Children (W&C). This individual will be responsible for the successful development, growth and strategic integration of the Women's & Children's Services across UW Medicine. Duties include both operational and administrative leadership and oversight. Operational oversight responsibilities include ambulatory sites at NWH and UWMC. Coordinated oversight responsibilities include inpatient units at NWH, UWMC and VMC and ambulatory sites at HMC, UWNC and VMC. Administrative leadership responsibilities include ensuring the development and implementation of the Service Line strategic vision, strategic plan and associated business plans in partnership with the System clinical and administrative leadership. Additional responsibilities include identifying and monitoring key Service Line targets and metrics to be reported to both clinical and administrative leadership.
Provides leadership for strategic program planning and implementation of the approved UW Medicine Strategic Plan related to Women’s and Children’s Services and the UW Medicine Patients Are First goals in these areas. The Administrator also completes key liaison activities with UW Medicine entities, Seattle Children’s and other affiliated parties. Completes new program development/expansion plans and coordinates marketing and physician outreach in messaging campaigns related to OB and Pediatric Services working with Strategic Marketing & Communications and Strategic Outreach Departments.
The Administrator reports administratively to the Chief Health System Office with accountability to the Chairs and Department Directors of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics and Executive Directors of all UW Medicine entities for ensuring that all sites meet the standards of UW Medicine and the physicians practicing at all sites; and to each of the UW Medicine entities for achieving strategic goals and targets.
