Methodist Church seeks Director of Facilities (30 hours/week)

- Supervisory skills are a must for a church facilities manager.
He will have to delegate responsibilities to volunteers from among the congregation or to paid labor from the business community. He must also establish and manage deadlines for certain projects, communicate progress to stakeholders, and verify the quality of work. The facilities manager will be involved in crafting a budget from which to maintain the facilities and, if necessary, expand the property. He will typically be the single point of contact for addressing needs of the congregation that fall under her purview. He is also expected to keep accurate records of expenses and maintenance.
A church facilities manager will often work unusual shifts, especially before and after events. He might be responsible for maintaining and replacing exit lights, fire extinguishers, welcome mats and other items used to ensure safety. He is always expected to act with integrity and respect while performing his tasks as he is a representative of the church.
