Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, and/or director of pharmacy services, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system, prepare intravenous medication, fill automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procure, maintain outdate control on all medications and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver supplies to nursing units.
Key Benefits of this Position
One Full Time position. Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM. Every other weekend 8 AM – 1 PM.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Experience:Previous pharmacy experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certificates: Certified Pharmacy Technician, preferred
- Must be able to engage and effectively communicate with individuals and groups of adults at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent LFH positively in internal and external meetings, required.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, required.
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel and Word required.
Physical Requirements:
- General office environment with significant computer and telephone time, however, routine standing and walking, required.
