Hitch Mechanic Qualifications: Must have a high degree of mechanical aptitude and a good working knowledge of vehicle and trailer towing concepts. Have a good understanding of vehicle electrical components and be able to read and implement the installation instructions for trailer light wiring connectors and electronic brake controllers. The customer's vehicle will usually be new to them and whether they are experienced at towing vehicles or a first time novice the appearance of the completed work is important to them and we must see that it meets their expectations. The job of Hitch Mechanic is physically demanding the applicant must have the physical dexterity to work in close confinement to properly install light wiring, trailer hitches and base plates for a variety of vehicles and must be able to lift a minimum of 75lbs. Possess a valid Florida vehicle operators license acceptable to True Value Rental Center's insurance carrier for the operation of company vehicles
