Resident Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking an extraordinary person to lead local Management Team as Resident Manager of Colorado Cabin Adventures at Grand Lake... a historic, top-rated vacation cabin rental property on N. Fork of Colorado River, three miles south of beautiful town of Grand Lake. Managers will live on-site in a beautiful, newly renovated cabin with gorgeous views.
This position requires hard work, strong managerial skills, year-round dedication and a commitment to excellence, while providing an attractive compensation package, the chance to meet wonderful people, and great opportunity to combine beautiful mountain living with satisfying work and growth potential.
This is an ideal opportunity for a couple, wherein one is full-time Resident Manager and the other has outside employment. Could be great position for retired military personnel and/or early retirees. Candidate must be self-driven with leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
**Responsibilities**
- Positively represent property and brand and maintain top ranking on TripAdvisor and other online rating sites
- Provide excellent customer service and serve as "Rustic Concierge" to guests
- Manage guest relations, reservations and payments using phone, email and reservation software
- Check guests In/Out and be available as needed to ensure guests needs are met
- Expertly clean and "turn over" cabins with help of part-time housekeepers
- Hire, train and manage part-time assisting personnel
- Maintain CCA property, landscaping and grounds using on-site equipment
- Oversee cabin maintenance, repair and improvements
- Assist in marketing, advertising and promoting CCA to increase rental occupancy and income
- Establish positive relationships and alliances with local residents and businesses
- Participate in weekly conference calls with off-site management team
- Review monthly rental income and operating expense reports with Owner
**Required Aptitudes and Skills**
- Positive attitude and good people skills
- Polite, tactful and able to get along with diverse personalities
- Patient and able to think quickly on the spot and with good judgement in stressful situations
- Presents himself/herself in attractive and well-groomed manner. Preferably non-smoker
- Excellent cleaning, housekeeping and property maintenance knowledge and experience
- Proper grammar and strong writing skills
- Self-starter, highly organized, efficient and able to finish projects in timely manner
- Must have housekeeping and management experience
- Marketing, sales and hospitality experience a plus
- Capable of proficiently using Microsoft Word, Excel, online reservation software and social media
