City of Sand City, CA
Term: Two years Sand City is recruiting for the position of City Councilmember.
To hold the office of Councilmember a person must be:
(1) a United States Citizen:
(2) at least 18 years of age;
(3) a resident of the City of Sand City, and
(4) a registered voter.
The successful Councilmember must maintain a commitment to the time required to meet Councilmembers' obligations, a willingness to study and make hard decisions that impact the City's future, and a strong sense of service to our community. The City Council typically meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM. Council members will also serve on City committees and Regional Boards. Council members receive a monthly stipend of $300 and $1055 a month for health insurance.
The successful candidate will be appointed and sworn into office at the next regular City Council meeting, on January 15, 2019.
